This week, I ice skated along the sidewalk to shoot this chill (y) look in the snow. I've been wanting to shoot this vintage 1960's jacket for awhile that I got from Velvet Jewel Vintage off of their Etsy site. I recently fell in LOVE with Etsy and all of the amazing vintage pieces at my fingertips while browsing the site. I had to have this western styled vintage suede jacket. Buying second hand or vintage is super inexpensive and sustainable. One of my 2016 resolutions is to be a more sustainable consumer, especially since most of my money goes towards purchasing clothes. Buying cheap clothing that won't last more than a few months (and will most likely end up in a landfill when disposed of) from retailers such as Forever 21 can be super convenient for the fashionable on a budget. However, I find buying from thrift stores is just as cute and more unique for about the same price and will most likely last 3 times as long!
I paired this jacket with a Nicole Miller cableknit sweater, Urban Outfitters boyfriend ripped jeans, Jeffrey Campbell camel colored brown booties, and a Louis Vuitton bag.
